It was a great privilege to witness this traditional Persian ceremony with the Sofre-ye-Aghd; an elaborate and symbolic display of food and decoration in the sublime setting of Eltham Palace in South London. The mirror symbolises purity in marriage as well as the reflection of the true self – ‘there should be no illusions about one another’ and it was positioned so that Sanam and Sebastian could see each other’s faces as she descended the staircase into Eltham Palace’s stunning hall.   A gloriously sunny Pimms reception followed, with dinner and dancing in the Great Hall.

'Working with Hester has been a pleasure from start to finish. She is charming, fun and very professional. In the run-up to the event, she is always available to discuss what you want and to give advice. If you have nerves, then she will settle them!

It is so important to feel comfortable with your photographer on your wedding day because they are with you for a lot of the time. With Hester, we can honestly say that by the time of our wedding it was like having an extra friend to share the day with.    And finally, the photos we received from Hester are a beautiful record of a beautiful day.'
