ROBERTSON-TIMMIS FAMILY
This shoot was commissioned for the 70th birthday of a regular client’s mother and featured all her gorgeous grandchildren playing at the family home where the client and her siblings had grown up and which was shortly to be sold. The resulting album was a complete surprise and went down very well..
‘Although the idea of having my children photographed is good in theory (and outstanding for presents) in practice it has always filled me with trepidation. However all of that was swept away when Hester came to take photographs. Although my children are quite different in age she was able to easily accommodate both which included taking pictures individually as well as together. Hester has such an easy way with children, encouraging them to interact with her, that it really seemed pretty stress free. Both my children responded to her really really well. Hester is patient, funny and very understanding of the pitfalls of working with children, which she handles brilliantly. Added to which the photographs she was able to take have been truly outstanding and made many family members extremely happy and proud. I have also had countless comments from friends about how well she has captured both Alexander and Isla’s characters.
When I next choose to photograph my children there is no question whatsoever that Hester will be my first port of call, she is a gem and her talents are fantastic. It would be a pleasure to work with Hester again.’
